Jaquar Geyser Warranty: Tank, Element & Parts by Series

Short answer

Jaquar's storage geysers carry 7 years on the inner tank, 4 years on the heating element and 2 years on other parts — the Meta, Briza, Elena, Elena Prime, Terra and Versa ranges and the Erica 6 litre. The Insta instant geysers carry 5 years on the tank and 2 on the element and parts; the Insta Prime tankless heaters 3 years on the element and 1 on other components; the Verna floor-standing boilers 3 years on everything; and the Integra heat pumps 4 years on the tank with 2–3 years on the element, compressor and sealed system. These are the terms Jaquar prints on each product's own page. Keep the GST invoice: it is what a warranty claim is checked against.

For the Erica digital, the single-phase Insta Prime models and some Integra-X listings, Jaquar's product page does not state the terms, so our product pages say "Official Jaquar Group warranty as applicable" instead of a figure. Ask us and we will confirm the terms for your exact code before you order.

What the three parts mean

• Inner tank — the pressure vessel that holds the water. A tank failure means a replacement unit, which is why the tank gets the longest cover.
• Heating element — the part that heats the water and the one most likely to fail, especially in hard water, where scale builds up on it.
• Other parts — thermostat, safety valve, indicator lamps, knobs and the outer body.

Hard water and the element

If your water leaves white scale on taps, expect the element to be the first thing to need attention. That makes the element term the number to compare: 4 years on Jaquar's storage range, against 2 years on the Insta instants. It is also why a storage geyser is the better choice than an instant one for daily bathroom use in a hard-water area.

Making a claim

Warranty service is handled by Jaquar's own customer care. Have the model code (for example BZA-WHT-V015, printed on the unit) and your GST invoice ready. Buying from an authorized dealer with a proper invoice is what keeps the warranty straightforward; we provide one with every order and can help raise the request if you bought from us.

Installation

Have the geyser fitted by a qualified plumber and electrician, on a properly earthed circuit sized for its wattage, with the safety valve that comes with it in place. A geyser installed on an undersized circuit or without earthing is a safety problem first and a warranty problem second.
