What each capacity costs

Storage geysers only — this is the number most people actually want:

70–100 L4₹17,300 – ₹19,650VersaWhole-flat supply, villas

The top of the 15 and 25 litre bands is the Erica digital; without it, a 15 litre Jaquar is ₹8,350–₹12,300 and a 25 litre ₹9,350–₹13,850. Our geyser capacity guide walks through sizing by actual water use; the short version is 25 litres for a bathroom with a shower and 15 for bucket baths.

Which storage series to pick

The six small-tank series overlap in capacity, so the choice is about controls and efficiency, not size:

  • Meta — the entry range. Manual (the PV codes) or semi-digital (the V codes) for a few hundred rupees more. The cheapest Jaquar storage geyser at every capacity.
  • Briza — the one 5-star BEE line Jaquar publishes a rating for, with standing losses from 0.265 kWh a day (6 L) to 0.465 kWh (25 L). Manual control. If a family runs the geyser daily, this is the efficiency pick.
  • Elena — manual, and the only series with horizontal models (15 and 25 litre, left-hand and right-hand), for false ceilings and lofts where a vertical tank won't fit.
  • Elena Prime — vertical only, priced ₹600–₹850 above the equivalent Elena.
  • Terra — semi-digital with a digital temperature display, touch control, thermostat, thermal cut-out and ELCB listed on Jaquar's spec sheet.
  • Erica — a 6 litre manual and 15 / 25 litre digital models; the digital ones are the most expensive small-tank geysers in the range.

Versa is the large-tank line: 35, 50, 70 and 100 litre, each in vertical and horizontal, all 8 bar.

Jaquar or Venus at the same capacity

We sell both, so here is the honest comparison of our own prices (storage geysers, cheapest to dearest at each size):

CapacityJaquarVenus
15 L₹8,350 – ₹17,000₹8,129 – ₹10,059
25 L₹9,350 – ₹19,700₹9,439 – ₹11,779
50 L₹12,650₹15,899 – ₹16,009
70 L₹17,300₹25,779 – ₹26,379
100 L₹19,650₹31,249 – ₹31,919

At bathroom sizes (15–25 L) the two start within a few hundred rupees of each other. Above 35 litres Jaquar's Versa is far cheaper than Venus's Magma Plus — a 100 litre Versa is about ₹11,600 less. See the Venus water heater price list for that range in detail.

Instant, tankless, floor-standing and heat pump

Insta (₹3,750–₹4,500). 1 or 3 litre tanks at 3 kW or 4.5 kW, 6.5 bar. A kitchen sink or a quick hand-wash; not a shower.

Insta Prime tankless (₹9,850–₹30,900). No tank — water heats as it flows. The 5.5, 7 and 9 kW models are single-phase; the 12, 18 and 24 kW models need a three-phase (400 V) supply. Check your wiring before you choose one; a tankless heater draws far more current than a storage geyser.

Verna floor-standing (₹71,000–₹1,17,500). 225 to 500 litre manual boilers for central hot water in a bungalow, a clinic or a small hotel, rated 10 bar.

Integra heat pumps (₹1,67,500–₹2,93,500). 200 to 500 litre heat pump water heaters that move heat from the air rather than making it with an element. On Jaquar's spec sheets the Integra-X split units are listed at a COP of about 4.2 — roughly four units of heat for each unit of electricity — with a backup heating element. They cost ten times a storage geyser up front and make sense only where a lot of hot water is used every day.

Warranty, from Jaquar's own pages

Jaquar prints the warranty on each water heater's page, and we copy it onto ours word for word:

SeriesTankHeating elementOther parts
Meta, Briza, Elena, Elena Prime, Terra, Versa, Erica 6 L7 years4 years2 years
Insta5 years2 years2 years
Insta Prime— (tankless)3 years1 year
Verna3 years3 years3 years
Integra4 years2–3 years, incl. compressor and sealed system1–2 years

Where Jaquar's page does not state a term — the Erica digital models and a few Insta Prime and Integra units — our product page says "official Jaquar warranty as applicable" rather than a number we cannot point to.

Pressure rating

Jaquar lists the Meta, Elena (vertical), Elena Prime, Terra, Versa and Erica 6 L storage geysers at 8 bar, which covers essentially all Mumbai residential supply including pump-fed towers. The Insta instants are 6.5 bar, the Verna floor-standers 10 bar. Briza's page does not state a figure, so we don't print one.
