How to Read a Jaquar Model Code

A Jaquar model code like OPP-CHR-15021PM encodes the series, finish and product number. Learn to decode it so you can find the exact fitting and finish you want.

Short answer

Every Jaquar model code has three parts: SERIES – FINISH – PRODUCT NUMBER. In OPP-CHR-15021PM, OPP is the Opal Prime series, CHR is the Chrome finish, and 15021PM identifies the exact product. Change any one segment and you have a different SKU — the same design in Black Matt becomes OPP-BLM-15021PM, and it usually costs more. If you have a code from a plumber, architect or an old invoice, search it directly on this site to get the exact fitting and current price.

In detail

The three segments

Take a real code from our catalog: ALI-SSF-85783NK — a Jaquar 3-way diverter.

SegmentExampleWhat it tells you
SeriesALIThe design family — Alive
FinishSSFThe surface finish — Stainless Steel
Product number85783NKThe exact product within the series

The product number stays the same across finishes of the same fitting. That's the single most useful trick when shopping: if you like a design but want another finish, keep the first and last segments and swap the middle one.

Series codes you'll actually see

These prefixes appear across our Jaquar catalog (the same design language repeats across basin mixers, showers, diverters and accessories within a series):

A few practical notes:

  • "Prime" series have their own prefixes. Kubix Prime is KUP; Florentine Prime is FLP while classic Florentine is FLR. If your plumber wrote "Florentine" but the code starts with FLP, you're looking at the Prime range — a different design and price.
  • Essco (Jaquar Group's value brand) uses its own prefixes — e.g. APR (Aspire) and quarter-turn ranges with QT in the code. The three-segment logic is identical.
  • Allied (ALD) is Jaquar's "goes-with-everything" range — bottle traps, concealed bodies and installation hardware that pair with any design series.

Finish codes

The middle segment is the finish, and it moves the price. From our live catalog:

ACRAntique CopperGMPGold Matt PVD

Chrome is the baseline; PVD and specialty finishes carry a premium. A real example: the Alive basin-area angle valve ALI-CHR-85053 is ₹1,740 in Chrome, while the same product as ALI-GLD-85053 (Full Gold) is ₹4,490. Same fitting, same product number — only the finish segment changed, and so did the price. Our finish guide covers durability and care for each.

The product number and its suffixes

The last segment pins down the exact fitting. You don't need to decode it digit-by-digit — search the full code instead — but two patterns are worth knowing:

  • Suffix letters mark variants. You'll see codes ending in PM, KN, NK, BPM, N and similar — these distinguish variants within a product family (mounting, flow type, or a revision). ALI-SSF-85783NK, for instance, is the normal-flow 3-way diverter in the Alive range.
  • Similar numbers ≠ same product. In the Florentine range, 5053 is an angle valve and 5441 is a wall-mounted tap. Always match the complete code, not just the middle digits.

Why the code matters more than the product name

Product names repeat endlessly — every series has a "single lever basin mixer". The model code is the only identifier that nails series + finish + exact variant, which is why:

  • Quotes only work code-to-code. A "Jaquar basin mixer ₹4,900" quote means nothing until you know it's OPP-CHR-15011BPM and not a different series or finish.
  • Warranty and service reference the code. Jaquar's service network identifies parts by the model code on your GST invoice.
  • Concealed fittings pair by code. A wall-mounted mixer or diverter needs the correct in-wall valve body — see which concealed valve you need.

Using a code on this site

Paste the full code (or just the product number) into the search bar — every product page here is indexed by its exact model code, with the current online price and MRP. If a code you have isn't listed, send it to us on WhatsApp (+91 79770 04273) and we'll confirm availability and price — we're an authorized Jaquar, Essco & Nirali dealer in Borivali West, Mumbai, and matching codes is most of what we do.
