What a concealed valve actually is
A concealed fitting is two purchases, not one:
- The valve body — a brass cartridge housing that is plastered and tiled into the wall. Buried permanently.
- The exposed parts kit (EPK) — the handle, flange and trim that sits on the tile. This is the part you see and the part that carries the finish.
They are sold as separate codes at separate prices. Nearly every complaint we hear about Jaquar pricing traces back to someone buying one and not the other. Of 4,846 Jaquar products we list, 775 declare a required valve body — and they concentrate hard. These eleven codes cover almost all of them:
Notice the prefix: every one of them is ALD — Allied. Allied is Jaquar's plain valve-body range, and it is what the premium series are designed to sit on. A Kubix Prime exposed parts kit is engineered to fit an Allied body. You are not downgrading anything by buying one.
What a concealed fitting really costs: body + kit
Almost every published "Jaquar concealed valve price" is only half the bill. Here is the full cost, body and kit together, for the eleven bodies that carry most of the catalogue:
Read the last column. A "₹1,760 concealed diverter" is really ₹5,770 once the ALD-CHR-079N body it sits on is in the wall. That gap is where quotes go wrong.
The choice you do not have, and the one you do
You may have read that you can save money by buying a plain Allied body instead of a series-matched one. That is not how the range works. Of the 21 valve bodies our catalogue references, 19 are Allied (ALD-) codes and the other two are a specific Arc and a sensor box. There is no Kubix Prime body or Queen's body to choose between — the series lives entirely in the exposed parts kit.
So the body decision is made for you by the fitting you picked. What you can control:
Do not buy a coloured body. We list concealed valves in eleven finishes, and coloured bodies exist only for the handful of installations where body metal stays visible after tiling. In a normal build the body is plastered over. Buy the plain chrome or unfinished code the kit specifies and put the finish budget into the kit, which is the part on show.
Buy the body and the kit together, from the same source, at the same time. A body already tiled into a wall that will not accept the kit you later chose means breaking tile. Tell us the fitting you want on the wall and we will specify the body with it.
Bodies vs kits — why this category confuses people
One more thing about this category, because it confuses everyone: of the 305 products filed under concealed valves, 252 are exposed parts kits and only 53 are actual valve bodies. That is why so many people buy something called a "concealed valve", fit it, and find they still have no working shower — they bought the visible half.
If the product name contains "exposed part", it is the trim. If it says body, cock or valve, it is the buried half. When in doubt, check the product page: every fitting that needs a body names the required code.
Thermostatic valve bodies
The widest price band in the category. ALD-CHR-649C, the concealed body of a thermostatic valve, is ₹792 — the cheapest thermostatic entry Jaquar makes. The exposed kits that sit on it run ₹8,536–₹9,768.

Before you buy: three checks

- How many outlets does this wall feed? One, two or three. That decides the valve, and buying a 3-way for a 2-outlet wall wastes ₹3,000–₹4,000.
- Have you bought the exposed kit? The valve alone will not give you a working shower.
