The one question that decides your price
Is there a hot water line at your kitchen sink?
Most Indian kitchens do not have one. If yours does not, a sink mixer is about ₹2,300 of hardware you will never use — the chrome medians are ₹5,400 for a mixer against ₹3,100 for a cock — so buy a chrome sink cock at ₹2,090–₹3,100 and spend the difference on the sink.
If you do have hot water at the sink — increasingly common in Mumbai flats with a kitchen geyser — a mixer is worth every rupee. Washing greasy vessels in warm water is the single biggest quality-of-life upgrade in an Indian kitchen, and it is the reason the mixer category is 145 models deep against the cock's 65.
Check the wall behind your sink before you shop. Two pipe stubs means mixer; one means cock.
Wall-mounted or table-mounted
The second fork, and it is decided by your existing plumbing, not by preference.
A table-mounted tap passes through a hole in the counter or the sink's tap ledge. A wall-mounted sink cock with a long swinging spout is the workhorse of the Indian kitchen: it reaches both bowls of a double sink and it lifts clear for filling a bucket. Florentine Prime cocks come in regular, extended and long extended spouts, so you can match the reach to the sink. A table-mounted mixer looks better on a modular counter.
If your counter has no tap hole and your wall has stubs, wall-mounted is the only option that avoids drilling granite.
Pull-out mixers: worth it or not
Seven listings, ₹5,930–₹9,390, all table-mounted: the Florentine 5177B in chrome and the Florentine Prime 5177BPM in chrome, black chrome and black matt. In chrome they cost ₹5,930–₹6,370, close to the ₹5,400 median for a chrome fixed-spout mixer, so the decision is about use rather than price.
Worth it if you regularly wash large vessels, tawa and kadhai, or rinse a deep double-bowl sink. The hose reaches into corners a fixed spout cannot.
Not worth it if you have a small single bowl and wash mostly plates. You are paying for a hose that adds one more thing to leak in five years.
For most Mumbai kitchens with a standard 24×18 single bowl, a chrome fixed-spout mixer does the job; the pull-out earns its hose in a deep or double bowl. Sizing is in the kitchen sink size guide.
Which series for a kitchen
Jaquar's kitchen depth is very uneven across series:
If you want a coloured finish in the kitchen, five series carry kitchen taps in Jaquar's full set of seven finishes — chrome, black chrome, black matt, antique bronze, antique copper, graphite and stainless steel: Queen's and Queen's Prime (42 models between them), Vignette Prime (14), Opal Prime (ask the price on WhatsApp) (7) and Ornamix Prime (ask the price on WhatsApp) (7). Fusion Prime adds black chrome, black matt and two golds to chrome; Florentine Prime, Vertis and Medi add black chrome and black matt; the other series are chrome only.

Finish availability, honestly
Of 217 Jaquar kitchen faucets: 94 chrome, 36 black matt, 35 black chrome, 10 each in antique bronze, antique copper, graphite and stainless steel, and 6 each in gold bright PVD and blush gold bright PVD.
Chrome is the kitchen finish. Not for design reasons — because a kitchen tap gets handled with oily hands twenty times a day, and chrome takes that better than any coated finish. It is also the cheapest: the same model in black matt costs 44–48% more. Black matt in a kitchen looks superb for a year and shows every fingerprint from day one.
If you want black in the kitchen, commit to wiping it. If that sounds unlikely, buy chrome and put the design budget in the sink.
