Jaquar Qloud Review 2026: Is the Touch Shower Worth It?
Jaquar Qloud is worth it in a new or fully renovated bathroom with at least 1 bar of pressure: touch control, two outlets at once, thermostatic, battery backup. Complete from ₹49,500 vs about ₹15,400 for a thermostatic diverter.

Short answer
Jaquar Qloud is worth buying if you are building or fully renovating a bathroom with decent water pressure and want the cleanest shower wall Jaquar makes; it is not worth it as a budget upgrade or on a weak gravity supply. It is a thermostatic shower with a touch panel instead of a diverter knob: one touch per outlet, up to two outlets at once, a temperature lock, and a battery backup for power cuts. A complete chrome system costs ₹49,500 with us (2 outlets) to ₹79,800 (4 outlets), against about ₹15,400–₹18,100 for a conventional Jaquar thermostatic 2-way diverter. It needs at least 1 bar of water pressure, a power point within reach, and an installer who plans it before the tiles go up.
In detail
What you get
Qloud is two flush plates on the wall. One is the thermostatic control: set the temperature and turn the water on. The other is a touch panel with one button per outlet — rain shower, hand shower, body jets, or a mist/waterfall mode. Behind the wall sit Jaquar's in-wall thermostatic body (QLD-CHR-309661C) and a small control unit with electronic valves that switch the outlets.
What it costs
Coloured finishes run up to ₹1,04,600 for a 4-outlet kit, or ₹1,16,900 complete. The showers themselves — rain shower, hand shower, body jets — are bought separately. Every finish and price: Qloud price list.
What is good about it
- One touch per outlet. No guessing which way a diverter knob turns; each outlet has its own button.
- Two outlets together. Rain and hand shower at the same time, which a conventional diverter, sending water to one outlet at a time, does not do.
- Thermostatic. The temperature holds when someone flushes a toilet or opens a kitchen tap, and the temperature lock guards against scalding.
- Power cuts are covered. Jaquar fits a battery backup so the panel keeps working when the mains fails.
- A clean wall. Two flush plates and no diverter handle.
- One body for every kit. The same in-wall body takes every Qloud kit and finish, so a later change of finish means a new kit, not new plumbing.
What to weigh against it
- Price. A 2-outlet chrome Qloud is about ₹31,000–₹34,000 more than a Jaquar thermostatic 2-way diverter doing the same plumbing job. See Qloud vs a thermostatic diverter.
- Pressure. Qloud needs at least 1 bar. Jaquar's Aquamax thermostatic bodies are rated from 0.2 bar, so on a weak gravity-fed supply a conventional thermostatic diverter is the safer choice.
- Power. The adapter plugs into a socket and reaches the panel on a 3 metre cable; that socket has to be planned in.
- Switching. To move from one outlet to another you stop the running one first, then touch the next.
- Black buttons. Jaquar's touch buttons are black on every finish; only the plates change colour.
- Installation. It goes in before tiling, and it rewards an installer who has done one before. See the installation guide.

FAQ
Is the Jaquar Qloud worth buying?
Yes for a new build or full renovation with a pump-fed supply, if you want touch control, two outlets running together or the cleanest shower wall Jaquar makes. No on a weak gravity supply, in an already-tiled bathroom, or on a tight budget - a thermostatic diverter gives the same steady temperature for about a third of the price.
What is the price of a complete Jaquar Qloud?
₹49,500 for 2 outlets in chrome, ₹63,900 for 3 and ₹79,800 for 4, including the ₹12,300 in-wall body. Coloured finishes take a complete 4-outlet system to ₹1,16,900.
What are the disadvantages of Jaquar Qloud?
Price; a minimum of 1 bar water pressure; it needs a power point and must be planned before tiling; only two outlets run at once; and the touch buttons are black on every finish.
