A complete chrome Jaquar thermostatic 2-way diverter (Aquamax body ALD-CHR-681N plus an exposed kit) costs ₹15,420–₹18,090 with us; a complete 2-outlet chrome Qloud costs ₹49,500. For three outlets it is ₹17,740–₹20,410 against ₹63,900. The thermostatic diverter also works on much lower pressure — Jaquar rates its Aquamax bodies from 0.2 bar, against Qloud's 1 bar minimum. Choose the diverter for value or a weak supply; choose Qloud for touch control, simultaneous outlets or a fourth outlet.

The cheapest Aquamax kits (₹4,750) are the Vertis and Aquamax Thermostatic Mixers designs; the dearest chrome kit (₹7,420) is Laguna. Both columns exclude the showers themselves.

What the extra money buys

  1. Touch control — one button per outlet instead of a handle with positions.
  2. Two outlets together — rain and hand shower at once. A diverter sends water to one outlet at a time.
  3. A fourth outlet — rain, mist/waterfall, hand shower and body jets on one control.
  4. The look — two flush plates in nine finishes.

What it does not buy is better temperature control: both are thermostatic.

What the diverter does better

  • Low pressure. Rated from 0.2 bar, it suits gravity-fed bathrooms where Qloud's 1 bar minimum may not be met.
  • No electricity. Nothing to plug in, no cables to plan.
  • Design choice. The visible kit comes in eleven Jaquar series designs, so it can match the basin mixer and the rest of the bathroom.
  • Price. About ₹31,000–₹34,000 less for two outlets.
