Short answer

A Jaquar overhead shower costs ₹1,590 to ₹1,54,590, with a median of ₹12,590. Hand showers run ₹930 – ₹6,350, body showers (body jets) ₹2,550 – ₹13,490, shower arms ₹550 – ₹7,780, and complete shower panels ₹21,800 – ₹47,300. The number that catches people out is that a working shower is never one purchase: head + arm + the wall mixer or diverter that feeds it. Budget the set, not the head. A sensible complete Jaquar shower set starts around ₹6,000–₹8,000 and a design-led one lands between ₹20,000 and ₹40,000.

What a complete shower actually costs

Three parts, and every quote should list all three.

SetOverheadArmControlRealistic total
Budget, chrome₹1,590₹5501-way diverter from ₹850around ₹3,000
Everyday₹4,000–₹6,000₹1,000–₹2,0002-way wall mixer ₹5,300+₹10,000–₹14,000
Design-led, PVD finish₹12,000–₹20,000₹2,500–₹5,0002-way wall mixer ₹8,000–₹15,000₹25,000–₹40,000
Thermostatic, multi-outlet₹15,000+₹5,000+3-way thermostatic ₹4,940–₹11,010 + concealed valve₹40,000+

If a shower quote looks unexpectedly small, check whether the arm and the mixer are in it. That is the commonest reason a "₹1,590 shower" turns into a ₹9,000 invoice.

Overhead showers: what moves the price

Three things, in order of impact.

1. Finish. Same head, different plating. This is the biggest single multiplier in the Jaquar shower range — a single-flow overhead in chrome at the bottom of the range, and codes in full gold reaching ₹1,54,590 at the very top. Chrome is always the base.

2. Size and body. Larger faces and solid-brass bodies cost more than ABS. A large rain head also needs flow to work — see below.

3. Single flow vs multi flow. Multi-flow heads (rain, mist, jet) carry a premium over single flow. Whether you use the second and third patterns after month one is worth being honest with yourself about.

Size vs your water pressure — the mistake to avoid

A bigger rain shower does not give a stronger shower. It spreads the same flow over a larger area, so on weak pressure a large head feels worse than a small one. The practical rule:

  • Gravity-fed overhead tank, older building, upper floor → smaller multi-function overhead or a good hand shower. A large rain plate will disappoint you.
  • Pump-fed or hydro-pneumatic tower → a large rain head performs as advertised, and this is also where a thermostatic control earns its price.

If you are not sure which you have, ask the society office whether there is a booster pump. Full working in the overhead shower buying guide.

Shower arms — the ₹550 part that changes the whole look

148 models, ₹550 – ₹7,780. Ceiling-mounted round 100 mm arms start at ₹550; a wall-mounted round 190 mm arm in black matt is around ₹2,160; a wall-mounted square 600 mm arm in gold dust reaches ₹7,780.

Two things to get right: mounting (wall or ceiling — decided by where the plumbing point is) and length (a long arm brings a wall-mounted head out over the middle of the shower area, which is usually what people actually want). Match the arm's finish to the head or the mismatch will bother you every day.

Hand showers and shower fittings

Hand showers run ₹930 – ₹6,350. A single-flow hand shower in chrome is ₹930; the same in antique bronze is around ₹2,700; in full gold, ₹6,350.

The fittings around them are separate purchases: wall brackets from ₹540, sliding rails from ₹1,900 (up to ₹9,690 in antique bronze), plus the hose. A sliding rail is worth it if people of different heights use the shower or if you use the hand shower for cleaning.

Body showers (body jets)

32 models, ₹2,550 – ₹13,490. A single-flow body shower in chrome is ₹2,550; in graphite ₹6,500; in full gold ₹13,490.

Body jets are only worth installing if two conditions hold: enough flow to run them alongside the overhead, and a diverter with enough ways to control them. Four jets fed by a 2-way diverter that also has to run an overhead shower will disappoint. Count outlets before you buy.

Shower panels — everything in one unit

9 models, ₹21,800 – ₹47,300. A manual 4-way panel in stainless steel is ₹21,800; a thermostatic 4-way panel in black glass is ₹40,700; the top of the range is ₹47,300.

A panel bundles overhead, hand shower, body jets and controls into a single wall-mounted unit. It is the simplest way to get a multi-outlet shower into an already-tiled bathroom — no chasing, one set of connections. The trade-off is that you are locked into that design and, if anything fails, you service the panel rather than one part.

Shower controls: what feeds the shower

You cannot buy a shower without one of these:

ControlPriceWhen
1-way diverter₹850 – ₹8,950Shower only
2-way diverter₹1,100 – ₹9,600Overhead + one more outlet
1-way wall mixer₹3,630 – ₹10,970Shower only, with hot/cold mixing
2-way wall mixer₹5,300 – ₹19,940The default Indian shower wall
3-way wall mixer₹6,700 – ₹21,630Overhead + hand shower + spout
Thermostatic diverters₹4,940 – ₹11,010Steady temperature on strong pressure

Concealed versions also need a valve body in the wall (₹830 – ₹12,990) — see which Jaquar concealed valve you need. Full detail in the diverter price guide and wall mixer guide.

Cheaper genuine alternatives

Essco overhead showers run ₹630 – ₹940 and hand showers ₹1,590 – ₹1,990 — chrome only, Jaquar Group product, and a sensible choice for a second bathroom or a rental. Cera overhead showers span ₹801 – ₹34,641. At the premium end, Grohe runs ₹3,900 – ₹1,03,188 and Kohler ₹2,048 – ₹5,25,075.

FAQ

What is the price of a Jaquar overhead shower?

Jaquar overhead showers run ₹1,590 to ₹1,54,590 with a median of ₹12,590 across 196 models. Single-flow heads span ₹1,590-₹1,54,590 and multi-flow heads ₹2,150-₹1,16,580. Chrome is always the cheapest version of any code.

How much does a complete Jaquar shower set cost?

A shower is three purchases: head, arm and the mixer or diverter that feeds it. A budget chrome set comes to around ₹3,000, an everyday set ₹10,000-₹14,000, and a design-led set in a PVD finish ₹25,000-₹40,000.

Will a bigger rain shower give me a stronger shower?

No - the opposite. A larger face spreads the same flow over more area, so on low pressure a big rain head feels weaker. On gravity-fed supply choose a smaller multi-function overhead or a hand shower; large rain heads only perform in pump-fed towers.

What is the cheapest Jaquar shower?

A single-flow overhead shower in chrome at ₹1,590, or a single-flow hand shower at ₹930. Add a shower arm from ₹550 and a 1-way diverter from ₹850 for a working set.
