3 Litre Geyser Price 2026: All 6 Jaquar & Venus Models

Short answer

A 3 litre geyser costs ₹3,329 to ₹5,479, and Jaquar and Venus make six of them: the Venus Jiffy at ₹3,329 (3 kW) or ₹3,509 (4.5 kW), the Jaquar Insta at ₹4,200 (3 kW) or ₹4,500 (4.5 kW), the 8 bar Venus Brizo at ₹4,209 and the copper-tank Venus Lava at ₹5,479. All six are instant geysers. A 3 litre heats up in about two minutes and suits a kitchen sink, a wash basin or a guest bathroom tap. It cannot run a shower: it holds about 37 seconds of shower water. In detail

Every 3 litre geyser

Jaquar prices are Jaquar's 2026 NRP (MRP ₹4,700 and ₹5,000). Venus prices are ours, below Venus's MRP of ₹4,720 (3J30), ₹4,965 (3J45), ₹6,525 (Brizo) and ₹7,735 (Lava). The middle of the six is the Brizo at ₹4,209.

What separates them

• Element. 3 kW or 4.5 kW. More on that below.
• Pressure. The Brizo is rated 8 bar, the only instant geyser either brand rates that high. The Insta is 6.5 bar; the Jiffy and Lava 6 bar. In a high-rise on pump-fed or hydro-pneumatic supply, that is the number to check first.
• Inner tank. Stainless steel on the Insta and Jiffy, copper on the Lava. Venus does not state the Brizo's.
• Warranty. Jaquar covers the Insta for 5 years on the tank, 2 on the element and 2 on other parts. The three Venus models carry their warranty as Venus publishes it.
• Size. Jaquar gives the 3 litre Insta as 230 mm wide, 370 mm high and 200 mm deep.

3 kW or 4.5 kW

The 3 kW runs on an ordinary 16 A point. The 4.5 kW draws more than a 16 A socket carries, so it needs its own circuit with cable and breaker sized for it; have an electrician check before you buy. If the wiring allows it, the 4.5 kW is the better heater for a few hundred rupees more.

What 3 litres can and can't do

The figures below use the same heat arithmetic as our geyser size calculator: water stored at 60°C, 25°C coming in, washing-up and bucket water at 45°C, a shower at 40°C and 8 litres a minute.

Kitchen sink: yes. The calculator puts washing-up at 8 litres for one or two people and 10 for three or four. A 3 kW model gives about 8 litres in two minutes and a 4.5 kW about 10, the same as a 6 litre storage geyser.

Bucket bath: only slowly. At the calculator's pace of 2½ minutes a bucket, you get about 9 litres of 45°C water (3 kW) or 12 (4.5 kW), roughly half a bucket. Run the tap slower and it gets there in the times above. For a daily bucket bath, a 15 litre storage geyser (from ₹8,129) does it in one go.

Shower: no. The tank holds about 4.9 litres of 40°C water once mixed with cold, which is 37 seconds at shower flow. After that the element alone warms a full shower flow by only about 8°C (4.5 kW) or 5°C (3 kW), so 25°C water comes out at 30–33°C. Holding 40°C means cutting the flow to about 4 litres a minute (4.5 kW) or 3 (3 kW): a trickle, not a shower. 1, 3 or 5 litres?

A 1 litre instant gives about 5.5 litres of 45°C water in two minutes at 3 kW and 7.7 at 4.5 kW: enough for hands and a few utensils. Venus's 1 litre Jiffy (4.5 kW only) is ₹2,909 and Jaquar's 1 litre Insta ₹3,750 (3 kW) or ₹4,000 (4.5 kW). Venus's Pentra is the one 5 litre instant from either brand, ₹4,769 at 3 kW: about 10.4 litres in two minutes, but about 4 minutes to heat from cold.
